This is great!
I might make a point to keep some TTATT info in my purse, so I can leave it on windshields of JWs.
Now I don't have to wait for them to come to my door.
i saw this at the kingdom hall after the meeting.
"advertise, advertise, advertise!- christendom style".

hello friends, .
i would like some advice from those that are inpartial, and are familiar with the teachings of jw.
i studied with a wonderful jw couple weekly for 3 years.
The Watchtower is "inspired by God, because it is based on the scriptures...
Let's look at the article you read last week, Watchtower December 15, 2013: "Don't Be Shaken From Your Reason!"
First section (paragraph 1-2):
"As we approach the end of this wicked system, Satan’s anger grows because he has only “a short period of time” left. (Rev. 12:12) So we can expect increased duplicity on the part of those who are influenced by the Devil, especially toward those who promote true worship.
2 Misleading statements and outright lies about Jehovah’s servants and their beliefs are sometimes featured in the media. Newspaper headlines, television documentaries, and Internet Web pages are used to propagate untruths. As a result, some people become disturbed, gullibly believing such lies."
These words are inspired by God? Really...?? Please do think about this for a moment... Does the above statement ring true or make sense to you?
Do the writers who work for Jehovah's writing department, realize that it is actually illegal to publish "outright lies" in the newspaper or television documentaries? Why do their lawyers not take legal action against these wicked people, defaming the name of Jehovah??
Are they trying to hide something?
Does the above paragraph from God's inspired magazine, make you wonder what untruths and outright lies are being propgated by the media?
www.jwsurvey.org has some examples of recent cases being brought into court against the Watchtower and its policies regarding their coverup of child sexual abuse.
You can also Google the names "Candace Conti Jehovah's Witness" and "Ronald Lawrence Jehovah's Witness" and "Mark Anthony Sewell Jehovah's Witness" for cases that are currently in court. These are not lies.
How do you identify the one true religion? You will know them by their fruits... over 23,700 child abuse cases reported to the Watchtower, and they keep them in a secret file at WTS headquarters... See www.silentlambs.org for more information about this database.
----
Also please note: You are either a Jehovah's Witness supporter, or you are "influenced by the Devil." (see above from God's inspired magazine)
Which choice will you make??
my wifes family has not really kept in contact with her after we left the cult.
i am the main reason but she never was a strong believer she just went with the flow as to not cause problems.
she has not heard much from her mother since the death of her brother 3 years ago.
Is it possible that they are waking up, and realizing that their past behavior is not following the example set by Christ?

Did he explain to you why his sister was disfellowhipped? I would ask him about the faithful and discreet slave.
There are a lot of things that don't make sense in JW world.
You didn't phrase the question properly. The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses is God's sole channel to people today. They speak for God, and any JW who denies that the "Faithful & Discreet Slave," is giving them all their spiritual food in this time of the end, is subject to suspicion and can be put on trial in front of their own private panel of elders.
What evidence can they show you that the GB is that slave, or even that we are supposed to follow a slave. (Who sends money to slaves, and waits for their instructions to come to them in a magazine format? ... JWs do. Does that make sense?)

Do not get baptized as a JW. Ever. Just don't do it. Ever.
i have heard rumors for over a year now that the wt is not going to have a 2014 dc.
i know they are having a circuit assembly and special day talk assembly but what about their yearly dc.
has anybody heard anything?.
Last night, my mom was very excited to tell me that there was an Interntational Convention in the US this year. It will be a 3-day weekend (Detroit, June 6-8 for her), and will be held instead of the District Convention.
She is very excited about it, and said there would be about 25,000 people there.
recently, i met an old friend for a coffee, he is a jw in good standing.. he does not know of my "awakening", but he knows, that i m pretty open with things.. so he came up with some thoughts, that, if somebody listened, would be enough for a jc on basis of apostasy.. since his english is not so good, i suppose he did not read this on the internet.. i just paraphrase some of his thoughts:.
the creation account in genesis is not accurate and in line with science.
a global flood was not possible.
inbetween: You are a good friend, to let him tell you about his feelings and doubts. I'm sure it is a great relief to be able to talk to someone who understands. What a great opportunity and release for you both.
I get the impression it's very hard to find a JW friend you can trust with your secrets.
Today, it seems that simply doubting or asking questions about the JW religion, is worse than breaking the top 10 commandments of the Old Testament. New World (translation) Order!
i know this has been rehashed, time and again, but i saw this interesting blip on jw.org last night, and did a little thinking about it.... jw.
org answers the important question that so many have... are jehovah's witnesses a cult?.
jehovah's witnesses do not look to any human as their leader.
Some might think of a "cult" as being a high-control group, that tells you what kind of pants men can wear...

my parents are recent converts to jw (both baptized).
i was never a jw, but did study with them for a long time.
after doing research, my husband and i quit going to meetings and stopped the bs.
Carla: I appreciate that thought. I am not afraid to read the literature, and I share my perceptions of the articles, on occasion. Some of the things I say and ask, are actually making her think. She knows I am in an in-depth study of the book of Matthew with BSF right now, and always perks up her ears when I share a tidbit of something I read.
I want her to know that I am well aware of the things she is reading and parroting from the WT magazine. She asked me if I was still getting the mags, I suspect, because I had not made any comments about current issues. I think there is at least a little part of her that still wants to get a reality check once in awhile. She knows something is not quite right, although she hasn't said so directly. Her remarks give her away. There is still an awake person inside there, fighting to get past the controls being placed on her by the WTS, my sister and my dad. I would like to be her safe place, and if I understand what she is going through a little better, then she feels she can make express herself to me, hopefully someday. I won't tell the elders.
I told her how happy we were that she came to visit, and that I don't want to say anything that will make her think I am "bad." I am doing what I can to keep her closer and trusting me, even if it means being willing to listen to their false information. I'm keeping myself informed of what is happening inside, as much as possible for an outsider.
If my agreeing to accept magazines, will get her to come over and spend the night (which means skipping field service the next day)... it's worth it to me. My kids will never buy into JW deception.
Knowing that she will be bringing me the literature, I can do my "homework" ahead of time. When she gives me the mags, I will actually look inside and notice something interesting, comment on something no one has said inside the KH... maybe even something she was thinking, but knew she would not be allowed to say to anyone. This could be an opportunity for me to let her know more explicitly that I am here, and that she can trust me with her doubts. Like I said, I won't tell!

I asked my mom yesterday, if she believed that the Governing Body actually speaks for God, and she immediately said, "Yes. I do."
My mother, who used to be a Bible-believing Christian, now follows the doctrine of the faithful & discreet slave, and their leadership over all.
She is currently awaiting their instructions, although she does deny that she would commit suicide with the group.
